The Position

Roche Diagnostics is thrilled to offer a superb opportunity for a Technical Manager (Engineering) to lead a team supporting our valued customers across the North of the UK.

Based in the North of the UK, you\’ll be at the forefront, guiding a team that provides essential support to our customer base in the North and beyond. The team takes on all aspects of customer support – troubleshooting & repair, preventative maintenance, modifications, and installations.

Customer and patient centricity is at the heart of everything you do, ensuring seamless end-to-end solution support.

You\’ll be instrumental in the successful delivery of our exceptional service offerings across the region and beyond , ensuring core service activities are executed with efficiency and productivity, all while managing operational costs within your team. Collaboration is key! You\’ll work closely with peers and key stakeholders to create a seamless \”sales-service\” alignment, delivering truly differentiated customer solutions. A crucial part of your role will be ensuring our Technical Services team is perfectly staffed – the right people in the right place, equipped with outstanding skills, capabilities, and competencies.

We\’re looking for someone resilient and tenacious, who thrives under pressure and excels as part of a close-knit team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.

You\’ll be insights-driven, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and adapting with flexibility and agility to meet evolving customer needs. If you possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable working with technical, scientific, and numeric information, you\’ll feel right at home!

Please note, this role requires you to be based in the North of the UK. We will consider applicants currently residing in this area or those eager to relocate to join our team! You\’ll collaborate closely with your team and all departments within Roche to consistently deliver a best-in-class service for our customers. This includes attending customer review meetings to proudly showcase key achievements and outline future objectives.

Who Are You:

You\’re a degree-educated professional in a life science subject or equivalent, bringing a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the IVD industry, coupled with solid experience in implementing best-in-class laboratory practices. While not essential, experience in a line management role or demonstrable line management skills gained throughout your career would be a fantastic advantage!

You\’re adept at providing effective support for pathology laboratory solutions, genuinely motivated by exceeding customer expectations and empowering others with knowledge. Self-motivated and a master of troubleshooting, you take immense pride and ownership in your work. As a true implementer of positive change, you possess a questioning approach to challenges, a passion for driving new innovations, and a gift for training and developing others.
