This role sits within the Delivery group, which covers the core procurement activities from category management, strategic and operational sourcing, supplier management, contracting, content strategy definition, and execution. This position is part of the Materials, Manufacturing and Capex (MMC) Procurement Delivery leadership team reporting into the Chapter Lead of Materials, Manufacturing and Capex Procurement Delivery. However, the scope of the role is to be applied to all of Global Procurement with a focus on both Delivery Chapters (Indirects and MMC).
As a Capability Lead - Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), you will work in a dynamic global environment where you will bring analytical thinking, planning, relationship shaping, execution, and focus to how Global Procurement segments and manages its most impactful supplier relationships and drives value, compliance, risk and innovation from them. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management and strategic direction of Supplier Relationship Management within Global Procurement, drive alignment with the overarching Procurement strategy, digital initiatives, and customer satisfaction, and ensure consistent application of procurement methodologies.
You will collaborate with internal procurement functional management and business stakeholders to build and implement the capability ensuring balanced team resource utilisation, consistent application of procurement methodologies and contribution to continuous improvement projects.
As a Capability Lead - SRM, you will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and general business requirements, including but not limited to:
- You are a subject matter expert in global SRM, evaluating requests and business needs to develop and execute global SRM process and best practices in alignment with the Procurement strategy, digital initiatives and stakeholder / business needs.
- You will own the end-to-end process for the SRM Capability area, from strategic conception to end-user adoption, ensuring seamless integration and a consistent approach to Category Management and Strategic Sourcing within Global Procurement.
- You will lead a set of ‘SRM Champions and Leads’ from other teams to embed and adopt the framework.
- You will coach SRM leads for the largest relationships and role model by owning and driving one of our largest Supplier relationships.
- You will engage across Senior Stakeholders across Roche to shape needs and drive impact.
- You will develop a roadmap, improvement KPIs and holistic capabilities direction, leveraging a matrix set of SRM leads and process / tech across GP to drive adoption and content.
Who you are:
- You hold a university degree, preferably in business or a related discipline.
- You have 10+ years of procurement experience in strategic sourcing, global category management, complex procurement contracting, and operational category efficiency projects on either the Procurement or the Sales side of a complex business.
- You have significant experience in managing resources without direct line responsibilities in a global, fluid and interactive matrix environment.
- You have expertise in procurement end-to-end systems and processes.
- You demonstrate curiosity, active listening and a willingness to experiment and test new ideas when appropriate, with the focus very much on continuous learning and improvement.
- You are open-minded and inclusive, generously sharing ideas and knowledge, while being receptive to ideas and feedback from others.
- You have experience in project management including change management and process improvement with direct experience in delivering complex business process / organizational change projects.
- You are a self-motivated and performance-driven leader.
- You are fluent in English to a Business level.
