Are you ready to join a global network spanning 20+ countries, where bright minds collaborate to tackle real-world challenges in Innovation & Sustainability? Do you want to work on impactful projects, shape the future and drive change from within?
As an intern, you will contribute to a project focused on strengthening mental health and psychological safety across the Roche Welwyn campus. The project builds on an existing foundation to help embed mental health support as a lasting part of workplace culture by expanding awareness, improving access to resources and identifying targeted wellbeing solutions for different teams.
Within your 3‑month term, you are expected to support the analysis of the Mental Health First Aid scheme, contribute to people‑leader resources, help deliver on‑site wellbeing events and interactive sessions and create a digital resource navigation tool. Your work will support Roche’s Work Environment priority by helping foster a more inclusive, resilient, and supportive workplace where people can thrive. This internship offers a rare opportunity to turn mental‑health advocacy into practical, visible change within a global organisation.
The Opportunity
- Collect, prepare and analyse quantitative and qualitative data related to employee mental‑health and wellbeing initiatives.
- Measure utilisation and impact of existing schemes, including the Welwyn Mental Health First Aid programme, and compare findings with historical data.
- Support the planning and delivery of wellbeing events, pop‑ups and interactive sessions across the Welwyn campus.
- Design and build a digital resource or dashboard that makes mental‑health support easier for employees to access.
- Conduct a gap analysis of current mental‑health resources and identify department‑specific needs and improvement opportunities.
- Support the development of training materials and resources for people leaders to better support their teams.
- Facilitate awareness sessions and workshops that promote psychological safety and mental‑health awareness.
- Collaborate with local and global stakeholders to share best practices and align activities across teams.
Who You Are
You are enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at a university, preferably in Psychology, Mental Health Studies, Occupational Therapy or Social Science/Policy within the last 12 months, and are interested in applying your knowledge in a modern working environment as part of an internship of at least three months.
Knowledgeable in mental health and mental‑ill health, ideally with an understanding of workplace mental‑health. Comfortable with data cleaning and analysis to identify trends and evaluate the impact of wellbeing initiatives. Experienced in evidence‑based research and, ideally, creating engaging digital resources or visual communication materials. Experienced or confident in project coordination, including organising events, timelines and stakeholder contributions. An empathetic, structured and proactive communicator who can work independently and build trust across diverse teams in English.
Unfortunately, relocation benefits and visa sponsorship are not available for this role. Candidates must already hold valid authorisation to work in the UK. The internship is expected to start between 1 and 16 July 2026 and will last at least 3 months. The role is primarily office‑based, with some flexibility to work from home.
