The Position
Shape the Future of Medicine with Data
Are you a STEM student passionate about using your analytical skills to improve lives? Join our Clinical Pharmacology team for an office-based industrial placement and help bring innovative medicines to patients. Our purpose is to drive benefit to every patient by selecting the right drug and dosing regimen, and you can be a part of that mission. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, applying your skills to ensure new drugs are safe and effective.
During the placement you will be based in the Roche UK offices at the Welwyn Garden City site. This is not a laboratory based placement and candidates will be required to be based in the office.
The Opportunity:
As a key member of our team, you\'ll collaborate with experienced scientists on impactful projects that are critical to drug development. You will:
- Analyse and interpret data from clinical trials to understand how new medicines work in the human body.
- Develop and apply innovative analytical tools and approaches to support our research.
- Contribute to the design of future clinical studies.
- Share your findings and insights, contributing to critical team decisions that guide our projects.
- Contribute to office based events and projects in Welwyn (e.g. Wellbeing, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion).
Who you are:
We\'re seeking curious, collaborative, and creative problem-solvers from any STEM background who are eager to learn and make a difference. The ideal candidate is:
- A current undergraduate student in your second year of your Bachelor\'s or integrated Master\'s degree with a strong academic record.
- A great communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic about learning new skills and tackling new challenges.
- Familiarity with a programming language (like R or Python) is a plus, but your eagerness to learn is what counts most.
