Overview
As Area Director - Pathology (East), you will lead sales strategy and drive profitability for the region. You’ll shape and execute plans, grow high-value customer partnerships, and guide a team of sales managers and specialists. Responsibilities
- Build and manage high-level relationships with key customers to execute business plans and hit profit targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the territory
- Coach and develop direct reports and field teams; lead hiring, training, and evaluations
- Develop and implement solution-based sales strategies and cross-divisional planning
- Ensure strategies are executed as designed and aligned with broader organizational goals
- Foster a collaborative internal environment and effective communication across teams
- Monitor expenditures and maintain accountability for budgetary requirements
- Provide HR leadership for direct and indirect reports and oversee budget responsibilities
Key requirements
- Bachelor in unknown
- 7+ years sales experience with demonstrated success
- 5+ years management experience with proven leadership in sales
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strategic planning and organizational abilities
- Experience selling enterprise-wide software solutions with integration to other systems
- Knowledge of workflow and decision support tools/systems
- Understanding of Healthcare Information Security (data safety)
