A vacancy has become available for a Teaching Assistant at Level 1 and Afterschool Club Organiser. This vacancy is Fixed Term until 2030 or earlier if the child leaves school. Term-time only pro rata.

Teaching Assistant - Full Time 27.5 hours a week

Afterschool Club Organiser - Part Time 5 hours per week. Thursday and Friday 3.15pm - 5.45pm

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Assistant responsibilities: The successful applicant will be expected to work under the direction of teaching staff. You will be responsible for some learning activities, within the overall teaching plan, to enable access to learning, which will be in addition to undertaking the core duties outlined in the Level 1 job description.
  • Provide support for learning activities by:
  • Supporting the teacher in planning learning activities;
  • Supporting the delivery of learning activities;
  • Supporting the teacher in the evaluation of learning activities;
  • Promoting independence.
  • Afterschool Club Organiser responsibilities: Undertake the supervision, security and welfare of children within the Afterschool Club; Provide and run activities for the children during indoor and outdoor play; Support Senior Afterschool Club Organiser and class teachers on the welfare and discipline of pupils; Attend to after school arrangements.
