Hours: Casual night shifts – each shift 10.5 hours (10pm - 8.30am); service staffed 24/7.

Rochdale Borough Council’s Strategic Housing currently have vacancies for Casual Accommodation Night Workers. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality homelessness services, helping individuals access safe accommodation and the services they need to move on successfully.
Your role will include:
- Ensuring the environment is safe and welcoming
- Providing information and guidance to residents and colleagues
- Recording information accurately on various systems and in writing
- Playing a key part in ensuring residents are safeguarded appropriately by sharing information with the wider team
Requirements:
- Be approachable and have strong communication skills
- Have an awareness of the barriers faced by homeless people
- Carry out health & safety checks and report repairs
- Check IT systems for information and follow guidance/procedures
- Maintain accurate written records and liaise with partner agencies
- Promote safeguarding and challenge inappropriate behaviour
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to equality and diversity
