We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Catering Assistant, who is keen to improve and contribute to the continued maintenance of the kitchen at RSFC. Rochdale Sixth Form has an excellent reputation for all services it provides across the college, giving you a great opportunity to make your mark on an already outstanding environment. Working at RSFC will be demanding but as a colleague you will be of great value and importance. In return, it is our intention to provide staff with excellent support and resources to carry out a first-class job.
Responsibilities include:
- To prepare, cook, present, and serve food to high standards under the direction of the Catering Manager.
- To prepare and produce high quality food for corporate events and meetings as required.
- Operate cleaning equipment and use designated chemicals and other cleaning products safely and in accordance with instructions.
- To operate the till for the sale of food and drinks to students and members of staff at busy times.
- To work alongside all other staff to promote appropriate professional behaviours and a positive ethos within the College.
Teams: You will have the opportunity to work across supportive and friendly teams, giving our staff opportunities to experience new areas and develop their skills.
Travel & Accessibility: We are located and easily accessible to nearby transport links to make it easier to travel via metro link, bus and train. We also offer free parking for those who have their own transport.

We are looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and takes pride in their work. Previous experience in a catering role is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail with an ability to work under their own initiative and be self-motivated.
