Young Identity is a women-led, Manchester-based literature and performance arts charity supporting diverse young voices through writing, performance and creative development.
They are looking for a self-motivated creative with experience in graphic design, digital content creation and copy writing. This is a varied and rewarding role for someone with a passion for design, digital tools and community-based work.

Contract Type: PAYE 12 months fixed term
Working Hours: 2 days a week (9am - 5pm)

Job Requirements
- Previous experience in graphic design and content creation, including developing visual assets, social media content and brand-aligned materials
- Proficient in tools like Canva, Squarespace editing and content scheduling software
- Confident in creating varied platform-specific content in their required formats
- Skilled in short-form video editing and reel creation
- Familiar with email platforms and Google Workspace for communication and workflow management
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite
- Full driving licence
Job Responsibilities
- Use scheduling software across multiple platforms
- Create high-quality digital assets; reels, promotional ads and branded graphics, using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Canva and video-editing tools, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and is tailored to each platform.
- Engage with followers and community via messages and queries across all social profiles
- Monitor social media metrics, identify trends and refine content accordingly. Keep up to date with current trends, tools and best practices.
- Update the website with upcoming events, workshops and opportunities, including writing clear copy for blog posts.
- Capture photos or short videos at live sessions and workshops for use across digital platforms.
- Maintain content calendar to coordinate and ensure alignment with the wider team and organisational goals.
