Healey Foundation Primary School is currently seeking to appoint a HLTA to join our supportive and well-established team. The successful candidate will:
- Complement the work of teachers, with responsibility for teaching and learning activities which may include planning, preparing and delivering specialist support to individual pupils, groups and/or leading learning activities within an area of specialism.
- Deliver whole class teaching cover, for example during teacher’s PPA time.
- Be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or supervision of other teaching assistants, including allocating and monitoring work, mentoring and training.
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in your care.
We are seeking an individual who has:
- HLTA status and a relevant NQF/QCF Level 3 qualification.
- Training in relevant learning strategies / curriculum / learning areas.
- Experience in delivering lessons to individuals, groups and classes.
- Experience of preparing and developing resources to meet learning needs & for education plans.
- Experience of working within a schools’ ethos and supporting the aims of the school.
