This job is seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer, or suitably qualified professional, with experience of working in a regulatory environment and a strong understanding of food safety and health & safety legislation. You will join a busy, supportive team where delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a flexible approach are essential. You will use your professional judgement to provide clear advice, undertake enforcement action where necessary, and contribute to a range of proactive initiatives.

The role involves working with a diverse range of businesses across the Borough, so the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload effectively is vital. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a permanent role within a positive team, delivering core Environmental Health functions.

You will be based in our purpose‑built, award‑winning offices in Rochdale town centre, recently transformed through a multi‑million‑pound regeneration programme.
