Join Our Community Occupational Therapy Service in Rochdale. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our busy, friendly, and forward-thinking team. This is a varied, fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll work in close partnership with colleagues across Social Care, Health, and Housing, ensuring residents receive the right support at the right time.
As part of our boroughwide Occupational Therapy Service, you will be connected to a Locality Team, while collaborating with specialists across Prevention, Moving and Handling, and Short-Term Assessment and Reablement. We are looking for an OT with community experience who is passionate about making a meaningful difference to the people of Rochdale. The postholder will be expected to undertake a certain amount of travelling in the course of his/her duties for which a casual car user allowance will be paid. Hours may be required to be worked over 7 days, as per the needs of the service. The postholder will be required to work flexibly in accordance with the requirements of the service.
What You'll Do
- Work autonomously, managing a busy and diverse caseload
- Deliver strength-based, person-centred assessments to residents across the borough
- Participate in our OT Duty Team, operating on a rota to ensure responsive support
- Access guidance and support from Advanced Practitioner OTs
- Contribute to our Practice Development Group, sharing learning and delivering training to Social Care colleagues
- Play a key role in supporting independence through equipment provision and home adaptations
