We are looking for a curious, proactive Business Analyst to join our Transformation PMO team at Rochdale Borough Council. If you love solving problems, working with people and turning ideas into action, this could be the job for you.
In this role, you will get stuck into all things change and improvement. You will chat with teams across the council, dig into how things work now and help shape how they could work better. You will build business cases, write and present options and recommendations to senior leaders and work to make sure our projects deliver real value for our residents and colleagues.
What you will be doing:
- Spotting opportunities for change and helping teams make them happen
- Working with Project Managers, service leads and tech teams to design smarter ways of working
- Analysing processes, finding ways to save money and improve services
- Championing best practice and sharing your know-how with others
- Supporting a culture of continuous improvement and positive change
Who we are after:
You are experienced in business analysis or change management, comfortable talking to senior leaders and great at turning strategy into action. You are analytical, collaborative, and always up for a challenge.

We work in a hybrid way with the team in the office (Number One Riverside) 3 days a week. The PMO team work closely with colleagues across the business and at all levels so you will have opportunities to connect with lots of colleagues across different sites. Our team have a wealth of experience from a number of industries, public and private sector and across different disciplines (Programme and Project Management and Business Analysis) and have in-depth knowledge of the organisation, structures and processes.
