About the role

Facilities Management are looking to appoint a robust and energetic Auxiliary Operative (relief Caretaker) to work in various locations throughout the borough of Rochdale.

This will include schools, family hubs, libraries and other public buildings.

This post is based on a split shift meeting the needs of the service, the working patterns will range between 6am-10.30am and 2pm-7pm, although there may be occasions there you may be expected to work until 9.30pm.

The successful candidate should possess a keen eye to detail and will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleaning standards.

  • This is a permanent 52 weeks post.
  • There is a generous annual leave of 25 days per year plus all Bank Holidays.
  • Duties will include; Cleaning toilets, emptying bins, mopping and vacuuming carpets.
  • Other responsibilities will include security of the site, Grounds checks, porterage and basic maintenance. A good knowledge of COSHH will be an advantage.
