Rochdale Borough Council is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Quality Improvement Officer to join our Adult Social Care Commissioning Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting care providers to deliver safe, effective and person-centred services that improve outcomes for people.
Working as part of a dedicated and supportive team, you will undertake quality monitoring visits, review provider performance, support improvement planning, and work collaboratively with providers and partners to drive continuous improvement across the adult social care market.
About the Role
As a Quality Improvement Officer, you will:
- Undertake quality improvement, assurance, and monitoring visits across a range of adult social care services.
- Support providers to identify strengths, address areas for development, and implement improvement plans.
- Monitor performance, quality indicators, complaints, concerns and regulatory information.
- Produce reports and maintain accurate records of findings and actions.
- Work closely with providers, operational teams, health colleagues, safeguarding partners and regulatory bodies.
- Contribute to the identification and management of risks within commissioned services.
- Promote best practice and support providers to achieve positive outcomes for people who draw on care and support.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working within health, social care, commissioning, quality assurance or a related environment.
- Can build positive and productive relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Has excellent communication interpersonal skills as well as exceptional attention to detail.
- Is confident analysing information and identifying risks, trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Is organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities.
- Has a commitment to improving services and outcomes for vulnerable adults.
- Can work independently while also contributing effectively to a team.
Experience of quality monitoring, provider engagement, commissioning or service improvement would be advantageous, but we also welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate strong transferable skills and a passion for quality improvement.
