The Governing Body at Springside Special School are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and experienced individual into the role of Temporary Class Teacher. We are seeking a skilled and nurturing teacher who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs. You will understand that learning, communication, wellbeing and behaviour are closely connected, and that the most powerful teaching happens within relationships built on trust, consistency and care. We have also opened a hub to run alongside our finely tuned pathways. As such applicants should be aware that Springside School delivers education across 2 sites and applicants may be required to work at any of these sites. Visits to both sites are encouraged. The successful candidates will be working directly with pupils with complex additional needs. The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.
Springside is a new-build special school co-located with a mainstream primary school. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check.
