Contract: Permanent

Hours: 32.5 per week, term‐time part‐time

Salary: £24,223 to £26,755

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist support to children with additional needs in our Additional Needs department (The Hive).
  • Work with pupils who have EHCPs or other SEN, including those in the care system, alongside colleagues, parents, carers and agencies.
  • Use an understanding of PEP documentation where appropriate and receive training if necessary.
  • The post requires the ability to converse in clear spoken English and support the wellbeing and learning of these children.

Working Pattern:

  • Monday – Wednesday 08:00 to 15:30
  • Thursday 08:00 to 15:15
  • Friday 08:00 to 14:30, including a 45‐minute unpaid break.
  • Flexibility may be required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport with pupils, families and agencies.
  • Evidence of any essential qualifications, as specified in the person specification.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Acceptance of an enhanced DBS and background check.
