HR Advisor

We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Advisor to join our busy HR Strategy & Advice team.

The successful candidate will provide professional HR advice and support across a wide range of employee relations, reward and workforce matters. You will work closely with managers across the Council, advising on complex employment issues, supporting organisational change, contributing to policy development and helping deliver key People Strategy priorities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking HR service and make a meaningful contribution to the Council's workforce agenda.

You will hold CIPD membership (or equivalent HR experience) and have practical experience of managing complex HR casework.

You will have:

• Strong knowledge of employment and equalities legislation.
• Experience of advising managers on conduct, capability, grievance and sickness issues.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• The ability to provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice.
• Experience of working collaboratively with managers, employees, and trade unions.

You will also be able to build positive working relationships whilst maintaining professional credibility and sound judgement.

Interviews will be held during the week commencing 2nd November 2026.
