Healey Foundation Primary School is currently seeking to appoint a HLTA to join our supportive and well-established team. The successful candidate will:

  • Complement the work of teachers, with responsibility for teaching and learning activities which may include planning, preparing and delivering specialist support to individual pupils, groups and/or leading learning activities within an area of specialism.
  • Deliver whole class teaching cover, for example during teacher’s PPA time.
  • Be responsible for the management and development of a specialist area within the school and/or supervision of other teaching assistants, including allocating and monitoring work, mentoring and training.
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in your care.

We are seeking an individual who has:

  • HLTA status and a relevant NQF/QCF Level 3 qualification.
  • Training in relevant learning strategies / curriculum / learning areas.
  • Experience in delivering lessons to individuals, groups and classes.
  • Experience of preparing and developing resources to meet learning needs.
