Salary: Support staff salary scale points, 1-3 (£24,413 - £24,796). Actual £9,428 - £9,576

Edgar Wood Academy is seeking a reliable and dedicated Evening Cleaner to help maintain a safe, hygienic, and pleasant learning environment for our students and staff. This is an ideal role for someone looking to work weekday evenings, with regular school holidays off - perfect for fitting around family or other commitments.

As a Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our school, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will work as part of a supportive team to uphold the high standards of the Academy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all assigned areas are cleaned to a high standard, including classrooms, offices, corridors, and restrooms.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and waste disposal.
  • Replenish consumable items (e.g., soap, toilet paper) as needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively.
  • Follow established health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
