About the Role

The role involves working closely with providers in Rochdale, Greater Manchester and across the North West. This role will work closely with the Strategic Lead for Children\’s Commissioning to deliver the commissioning function across Children\’s Social Care.

You will be responsible for the management of children\’s placements in the residential, supported accommodation and independent fostering market ensuring the best possible outcomes for our Children and Young People. The role will involve aspects of service commissioning, from supporting on the development of strategic plan for Commissioning, designing service specifications and monitoring the impact of service delivery against outcome and key performance indicators including monitoring of children\\\’s placements within the independent market.

The role will have line management responsibility for the two Placement Officers within Children\’s Social Care.

We are currently seeking an experience, enthusiastic and inspirational Commissioning Manager who can implement our vision within Children\’s Social Care.

We\\\’re looking for an individual who has a proven track record of leading, motivating and managing staff. You will bring a record of record of success in communicating and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.
