Rochdale Borough Council is seeking an Admin Assistant (Executive Support) to join our Corporate Services department. This is a rewarding role at the heart of the organisation, providing high-quality administrative support to the Executive Support Manager and helping to ensure the smooth operation of key executive functions.
About the Role
As an Admin Assistant within the Executive Support Team, you will provide responsive and effective administrative support across a range of executive business activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Executive Support Manager with administrative duties.
- Assisting with Leadership Team agendas and reports.
- Supporting diary and inbox management for the Chief Executive, including scheduling meetings.
- Producing professional correspondence, letters and documents.
- Organising meetings, including agenda preparation, minute taking and action tracking.
- Responding to requests for information and resolving enquiries where appropriate.
- Maintaining accurate electronic records and information systems.
- Raising purchase orders and reconciling purchasing card payments.
- Developing effective working relationships with colleagues, elected Members and external stakeholders.
- Full training will be given for all these responsibilities as needed.

Essential Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths, or demonstrable competency in these areas.
- Experience of providing customer service and administrative support.
- Well-developed IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and electronic record-keeping systems.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to confidentiality, equality, diversity and excellent customer service.
