Rochdale Boroughwide Housing is looking for an Administrator to join our Responsive Repairs team.

This is a pivotal role providing comprehensive administrative support across our Repairs and Maintenance Service. Working closely with internal teams, contractors and customers, you'll help ensure repairs services are delivered efficiently and effectively, contributing to excellent customer outcomes.

This is primarily an office-based role. During your training period, you will be required to work in the office full-time. Following training, there may be opportunities for some flexibility, dependent on service requirements.

This is a part-time role working between 18 and 21.75 hours per week, potentially, 3 x 6 hour days or 3 x 7.25 hour days. The hours and days of work will be discussed with the successful candidate. The hourly rate is £14.82.

What you'll be doing as our Responsive Repairs Administrator:

  • Managing repairs-related enquiries received via email, telephone and customer systems
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments for engineers and contractors
  • Logging and processing repairs information, defects and service records
  • Raising, checking and processing purchase orders, invoices and payments
  • Maintaining accurate records across multiple systems and databases
  • Processing payroll submissions and related administrative tasks
  • Responding to customer enquiries and escalating issues where appropriate
  • Programming and managing access fobs for customers, staff and partner agencies
  • Supporting repairs, empty homes, disrepair and other maintenance-related teams as required
  • Scanning, filing and maintaining service documentation and records
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to deliver an efficient customer-focused service

What are we looking for from our Responsive Repairs Administrator?

  • Previous administration experience within a busy office environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Confidence using databases and multiple IT systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with customers, colleagues and contractors
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • An understanding of customer service excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Awareness of confidentiality and data protection requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent experience). A Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration would be advantageous

Why join us?

You'll be joining a small but dedicated team that plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of repairs and maintenance services to our customers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your administrative skills within a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

What do we have to offer you?

  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro-rata)
  • Pension scheme with employer contributions matched up to 8%; death in service benefit
  • Healthcare cashback plan, virtual GP access and subsidised gym membership
  • Employee Assistance Programme available 24/7
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Plus more!

If interested, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as applications will be reviewed as they are received and the vacancy may close earlier than advertised.
