Are you an experienced fire safety professional ready to make a meaningful impact in housing and care environments? Do you have the expertise to deliver fire safety strategies, ensure compliance, and empower others with knowledge? If so, we are looking for a dedicated Fire Compliance Surveyor to join our team and play a critical role in safeguarding lives and properties.
You will ensure the effective implementation of fire safety policies, provide expert advice to managers, colleagues, and customers, and act as a Competent Person under the Fire Safety Order and Building Safety Act. With experience in a similar role, you will be accustomed to managing risk assessments, carrying out surveys and inspections. You will be experienced in ensuring Emergency Lighting and Fire Alarm maintenance are completed in line with schedules, and remedial works are completed within agreed timescales. You will manage accredited contractors to ensure safe delivery of works ensuring customers' safety.
We are looking for an individual with a construction related Degree or other recognised vocational qualification such as NEBOSH. You will have demonstrable project management experience and be accustomed to managing budgets and contractors. You will have experience of delivering planned investment projects (capital and revenue) and have a good understanding of the construction industry.
It is essential that you have experience and knowledge of the following:
- Fire safety guidance and legislation (NFCC, ADB, RR(FS)O 2005, FS(Eng) Regulations, Fire Safety Act)
- Wider construction related legislation and guidance, including CDM and asbestos
- Fire risk and its management with regards to buildings, communal spaces and compartmentation.
