RBH own and manage around 12,000 homes within the Borough of Rochdale in Greater Manchester. RBH currently have an exciting opportunity for a Neighbourhood Housing Assistant to join our Neighbourhoods service. You may have previous administrative experience and/or have worked previously within social housing, or you may be looking to get involved in the housing sector for the first time. This position is provisionally fixed term with the potential for further opportunities.
As a Neighbourhood Housing Assistant, you will support our neighbourhood teams, primarily via the undertaking of administrative duties, working proactively to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, promoting and supporting sustainability in relation to the provision of housing to RBH customers.
Who are we looking for?
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deal sensitively with customers who may be vulnerable, have special needs or are experiencing difficult situations, including by telephone.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, customers and partners.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage workloads and meet deadlines through teamwork and time management.
- Positively embraces change and is adaptable to the ever-changing social housing sector.
- A great eye for detail with experience of working in an administrative function.
- Good Microsoft Office and database management skills with the ability to maintain records and produce documents to a professional and accurate standard.
