Belfield Community School would like to appoint two caring and dedicated Teaching Assistants to provide 1:1 support within our school.

Working hours will be from 8:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (though there may be a slight element of flexibility with these hours).

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils within the school.
  • Support 1:1 or SEND needs in class as appropriate.
  • Develop links with parents and outside agencies as required.
  • Contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Recent experience supporting a child 1:1, or supporting SEND children in class, would be desirable.
  • A good level of maths and English is essential, and familiarity with the primary school curriculum.
  • The role demands patience and perseverance; a willingness to engage with children and learning activities.
  • Experience of physical handling and care may be involved.
