The Governors of Newlands School are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant (Level 1+) who:
- is proactive and vigilant in their approach to safeguarding pupils
- is experienced in working within a team to ensure the best outcomes for children
- has the personal and social skills to communicate clearly and sensitively, establishing and sustaining good relationships with parents, pupils and other staff
- is an excellent and reflective classroom practitioner
- is caring, committed and highly motivated
- has high expectations of all pupils’ achievement and behaviour
- has the knowledge, enthusiasm and ability to inspire and motivate children to learn
- has a secure understanding of play and is able to support this at all levels
- has a warm and friendly personality
The successful applicant will have the ability to work with children with a range of needs, including profound and complex needs, across the key stages and the curriculum.
