We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled professional to join our SEND service as an EHC Assessment and Review Team Manager.

This is a pivotal role in ensuring the Local Authority meets its statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for the assessment, review and quality assurance of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), working closely with families, schools and multi-agency partners.If you\’re committed to making a difference and thrive in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment, we\’d love to hear from you.

About you:

  • A confident and experienced leader with a background in SEND.
  • Skilled in managing complex casework and leading multi-agency working.
  • Knowledgeable about SEND legislation and passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and adults.
  • Able to manage budgets, monitor performance, and drive service improvement.
  • A strong communicator who can build effective relationships with families, schools, and professionals.

About the Role:

  • Managing the statutory EHC assessment and review process.
  • Leading and supervising the EHC Assessment and Review Team.
  • Ensuring EHCPs are high-quality, accurate, and deliverable.
  • Working collaboratively with educational settings to improve outcomes for children and young people.
  • Representing the service at panels, tribunals, and working groups.
  • Leading on safeguarding within the team and ensuring compliance with statutory duties.

Appointment to this post is subject to Enhanced/standard or Basic under Child or Adult workforce DBS and background checks.
