About the Role
Facilities Management have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, conscientious, reliable and ‘hands on’ Catering Assistant to join our team at ‘Fresh Kitchen’. You will be assist with the running of school kitchens. You as a catering assistant will be passionate about going that extra mile to deliver exceptional customer service to our pupils and staff.
Locations are various schools throughout the Borough. (Rochdale, Middleton, Heywood, Milnrow and Littleborough).
The salary is £25,583 – £25,989 pro rata per annum (£13.26 per hour). This role is term time only.
About you
Duties include preparation of food and beverages, cooking of meals in accordance with menus, general kitchen dining room duties (for example washing-up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), cleaning and sanitising kitchen areas and assisting the kitchen supervisor as directed.

- Knowledge of COSHH is desirable.
- Ensure you follow the rules of health and safety.
- Require some knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens although full training will be provided.

- Be flexible and willing with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Must be a resident of Rochdale Borough.
- Be available to work 5 days a week.
Cover will be required term time only and over the lunch-time period. Various hours are available.
Hours approximately between 9.30 am – 2 pm over 5 days a week.
Experience in a similar field is required.
