About the Role
External candidates applying for this role must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale. Facilities Management has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, conscientious, reliable, and ‘hands-on’ Catering Assistant to join our team at ‘Fresh Kitchen’. You will assist with the running of school kitchens and be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to pupils and staff. Locations are various schools throughout the Borough (Rochdale, Middleton, Heywood, Milnrow, and Littleborough). The salary is £24,790 - £25,183 pro-rata per annum (£12.85 per hour).
About you
Duties include preparation of food and beverages, cooking meals according to menus, general kitchen and dining room duties (e.g., washing-up, setting up, and clearing away equipment and tables), cleaning and sanitising kitchen areas, and assisting the kitchen supervisor as directed.

- Knowledge of COSHH is desirable.

- Must be a resident of Rochdale Borough.
- Be available to work 5 days a week.
- Cover will be required term-time only, mainly over lunchtime hours. Various hours are available, approximately between 9:30 am and 2 pm, over 5 days a week.
- Experience in a similar field is required.
- Full uniform/PPE is provided.
