Senior Care Assistant Up To £14.30 in Healey

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant to join our day team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing outstanding person-centred care and making a real difference to the lives of our residents.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead and support the care team, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered throughout each shift. You will be responsible for administering medication safely, reviewing and updating care plans, risk assessments, and Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA), while ensuring all care documentation remains accurate and up to date.

The successful candidate must hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care, be medication trained, and have previous experience working in a senior care role. You will be confident in leading a team, making decisions, prioritising workloads, and responding appropriately to residents' changing needs. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with residents, their families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals. We are looking for someone who is flexible, reliable, organised, and naturally passionate about enriching the lives of older people through high-quality, compassionate care.

Hours: 8:00am – 8:00pm (Day Shifts)

Salary: Up to £14.30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Principal Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and support the care team throughout each shift.
• Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
• Safely administer and record medication in accordance with company policies and legislation.
• Review, update, and maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments, MCA documentation, and daily records.
• Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, recognising changes and escalating concerns appropriately.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
• Prioritise and delegate workloads effectively to ensure the safe and efficient running of the shift.
• Support, mentor, and guide care staff, promoting best practice and maintaining high standards of care.
• Ensure all care documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Promote meaningful activities and support residents to live fulfilling and enriched lives.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in line with health and safety and infection prevention policies.
• Report incidents, accidents, safeguarding concerns, and changes in residents' needs in accordance with company procedures.
• Act as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and commitment to delivering exceptional care at all times.
