Brown\’s Hotel is London\’s first hotel. It opened its doors on Albemarle Street in 1832. Since then we have hosted famous guests from all walks of life. Your key responsibilities

We are looking for a talented and passionate Human Resources Officer to join our dynamic HR team on a 12-month maternity cover contract(starting mid-September 2025). This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and people-focused HR professional to contribute to our mission while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As our Human Resources Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and employee engagement. You’ll act as a trusted partner to both employees and management, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience that reflects our values and commitment to excellence.

As a valued part of the Forte family, you will:

  • Provide first-line HR support to staff and managers on daily HR queries, ensuring alignment with company policies and employment law.
  • Drive employee engagement activities andmanage all internal communication channels (Instagram, Noticeboards).
  • Assist with recruitment and managing onboarding ensuring smooth integration of new team members.
  • Assist HR & Training Manager with planning and delivery of thetraining activities.
  • Maintain employee files, support with theday-to-day administrative tasks.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Human Resources Officer with a:

  • Proven experience in a similar HR role in a five star hotel environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, confidential, and supportive approach.
  • Excellentknowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel and Power Point) and social mediais required.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize a varied workload.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and relevant compliance requirements.
