Our hotel The Balmoral is located at Edinburgh’s most prestigious address, No. 1 Princes Street, where the Old Town stops and the New Town begins. Our hotel’s majestic clock defines the city’s skyline and since the day we opened in 1902, it has run three minutes fast to ensure our guests will never miss their train.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Use the finest products, and cook from scratch to create a unique experience for our guests.
  • Work alongside the chefs to prepare and present food to the highest standards.
  • Be able to work under pressure during busy periods.
  • Have extensive training but should be capable of self-direction and self-reliance in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Coach and Mentor Apprentices, Commis and Demi Chef de Parties.
  • Work 4 days a week to offer a great work-life balance.
