Job Description
Rocasa are looking to recruit Experienced Housing Support Workers on a temproary basis in Northampton paying up to £15.95ph for up to 8 weeks.\\n\\nDuties include the below :\\n\\nUsing a trauma informed approach, we assess the needs jointly with clients to identify their aspirations, goals, supporting individual to achieve them.\\n\\nWork with clients to create an individualised move on plan, encouraging clients to take active involvement in the support planning process\\n\\nComplete robust risk assessments on arrival and update as and when there are any changes.\\n\\nEnsure clients are aware of the expectations when engaging with the service and discuss the acceptable behavioural agreement with them.\\n\\nWork with clients to increase confidence, self-esteem, and to develop positive coping skills.\\n\\nEnsure individuals have the necessary skills to transition into independent living.\\n\\nUndertaking planned key working sessions.\\n\\nAssist clients with day-to-day support and tenancy related matters.\\n\\nSupport clients to be ‘tenancy ready’ to enable a successful move on.\\n\\nSupport clients to be financially independent through budgeting plans and claiming benefits or finding paid employment.\\n\\nSupport and monitor client’s healthcare needs, accessing relevant healthcare professionals where appropriate including substance misuse or other dependencies where applicable.\\n\\nSupport clients to access additional support services where needed (e.g., food banks, benefits, housing, tenancy support, wellbeing, employment, training, education, jobs and other community resources).\\n\\nEncourage clients to develop their practical life skills. (e.g., budgeting, paying bills, planning meals, shopping, cooking).\\n\\nLead on and promote support initiatives including group work.\\n\\nWork with clients to maintain a safe environment by reporting repairs and any health & safety concerns. ➢ Resolve difficult and challenging situations in a sensitive and informed way, balancing the needs of the individual with the safety of the service.
➢ Record and monitor outcomes and support daily.\\n\\nAlways maintain client confidentiality, except for those covered under the safeguarding policy and procedure.\\n\\nProvide support that is sensitive to the different needs of people. (e.g., culture, religion, background, personal beliefs, age, personal experiences etc). In relation to other agencies\\n\\nYou musy have previous experience in Housing or Homeless Support and have a current Enhanced DBS Check on the update Service
