Temporary Caretaker – Housing Association

Location: London E14

/n

Contract: Temporary – Immediate start until 18 September

/n

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

/n

Pay Rate: Β£14.25 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay)

About the Role

/n

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Caretaker to work for a housing association based in Tower Hamlets, East London.

/n

The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the residential building and its communal areas are clean, safe, secure and well maintained. You will be the day-to-day presence on site, helping to provide a welcoming environment for residents and ensuring any issues are identified and reported promptly.

/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n
- Carry out regular inspections of communal areas and the surrounding estate.
/n
- Ensure communal areas, entrances, corridors and stairwells are clean, tidy and presentable.
/n
- Report repairs, maintenance issues, health and safety concerns and any defects.
/n
- Assist with maintaining the security and general upkeep of the building.
/n
- Monitor communal areas and report any issues or incidents appropriately.
/n
- Liaise with residents in a professional and helpful manner.
/n
- Ensure waste and refuse areas are kept clean and well managed.
/n
- Carry out basic caretaking duties and minor tasks where appropriate.
/n
- Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to the relevant team.
/n
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures.
/n

- Previous experience in a caretaker, estate services, housing or facilities role.

- Good attention to detail.

- Good communication and customer service skills.
/n
- The ability to work independently and use initiative.
/n
- A professional and approachable manner when dealing with residents.
