We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Onsite MDM Engineer to join our team, delivering Mobile Device Management (MDM) services within a highly secure environment. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation, support, and continuous improvement of managed mobile devices, while also contributing to the delivery of a managed networking service. You will be the face of the business on-site, representing our organisation with professionalism at all times.
Working hours:
- Early shift: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Late shift: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, manage, and resolve mobile device incidents efficiently
- Configure and administer Mobile Device Management tools (e.g., Intune)
- Proactively identify issues using monitoring and event management tools
- Maintain accurate and detailed updates in ITSM systems and internal records
- Deliver 1st and 2nd line support for mobile devices, escalating where necessary
- Provide in-person support to senior engineers and stakeholders
- Diagnose and investigate suspected physical device faults
- Manage inventory of all in-scope mobile devices
- Advise users on applications outside of the standard service catalogue
- Create and maintain knowledge base documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers via phone and email, providing regular updates
- Handle incoming customer queries, ensuring clear resolution paths
- Support MDM-related projects as directed by leadership
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Essential:
- Strong interest in mobile operating systems (iOS/Android)
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Hands-on experience supporting mobile devices in a corporate environment
- Experience within an enterprise or managed service environment (Service Desk, NOC, etc.)
- Ability to manage high-impact incidents and interact with senior technical stakeholders
- Experience using monitoring and event management tools
- Strong PC and troubleshooting skills
- Desirable:
- Experience with Intune
- Experience with Zscaler
- Experience working in secure environments (e.g., government or military)
Key Attributes:
- Ability to obtain SC clearance (and potentially DV clearance)
