Working closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers, Engineers, and Sales teams, you'll develop accurate costings, Bills of Materials, and delivery plans while helping customers understand the value and impact of proposed solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse customer requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and Statements of Work.
  • Conduct site surveys and customer visits to support solution development and bid activities.
  • Develop labour, material, equipment, subcontractor, and project cost models.
  • Review subcontractor quotations and incorporate them into commercial proposals.
  • Provide technical input into cabling and containment designs, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Support bid responses, tenders, and customer presentations.
  • Act as the technical bridge between Pre-Sales and Delivery, ensuring successful project handovers.
  • Support projects delivered within highly secure government, defence, and regulated environments.
  • Continually identify opportunities to improve processes, innovation, automation, and customer outcomes.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years' experience estimating, designing, or delivering structured cabling and fibre optic infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of copper, fibre, containment, and passive network infrastructure.
  • Experience producing accurate project estimates and commercial cost models.
  • Knowledge of industry standards including BICSI, TIA/EIA, ISO and EN standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Experience within Defence, Government, Nuclear, or other secure environments.
  • Knowledge of Siemon, Corning, Connectix, Aruba, Cisco or Juniper technologies.
  • Understanding of JSP standards and secure-site working practices.
  • CDCDP, CNIPD or similar industry qualifications.
  • Current SC or DV clearance.
