Home-based (with travel to London). We are seeking a hands-on Service Transition Manager to join a newly established Service Transition function within a growing MSP environment. This is a high-impact, delivery-focused role where you will lead strategic transition programmes across key client accounts. Your initial priority will be to successfully deliver a large service transition programme, ensuring the seamless migration from legacy services into live operations. You will also play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling a repeatable, high-quality transition framework for future programmes across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end service transition delivery across strategic managed service programmes.
  • Own the design, transition, implementation and handover of new and changed services into operations.
  • Manage complex transitions across network transformation, security, service desk and infrastructure services.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and operational teams to deliver scalable service models.
  • Ensure transitions are delivered within scope, commercial boundaries, and quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain a robust Service Transition Framework, including governance, standards, templates and reporting.
  • Identify and mitigate service design and transition risks.
  • Drive a right-first-time delivery culture with strong operational readiness and structured handovers.
  • Produce Operational Service Manuals (OSMs) and transition documentation.

About You

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience in Service Transition and/or Service Delivery within MSP environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of ITIL frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex technical service transitions.
  • Ability to operate as a hands-on, delivery-focused “doer”.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Eligibility for security clearance (SC/DV or NPPV3).

Desirable Experience

  • Background in mid-sized MSP organisations.
  • Experience across both project management and service management.
  • Exposure to networking, cloud or SASE environments.
  • Experience supporting bids, service design or commercial models.
