As our project portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for talented Data Cabling Installation Engineers to join our expanding Installation Services team. The Role
As a Data Cabling Installation Engineer, you'll play a key role in the delivery of structured cabling and network infrastructure projects for a diverse range of clients. Working alongside experienced engineers and project teams, you'll help ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure network cabinets and communications racks
- Build and install primary and secondary containment systems
- Install, terminate, test, certify, and label Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A structured cabling systems
- Carry out fibre optic and copper cabling installations
- Install and patch network switches and associated infrastructure
- Perform testing and fault-finding activities using industry-standard equipment
- Maintain accurate installation documentation and test results
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry standards, project specifications, and customer expectations
- Adhere to health, safety, and quality procedures at all times
About You

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience installing and terminating structured copper cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A)
- Experience testing and certifying cabling installations using Fluke testing equipment
- Strong understanding of containment systems, including steel and PVC solutions
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Eligibility to obtain Security Check (SC) and Developed Vetting (DV) clearance
Desirable Skills
- Fibre optic installation, termination, and testing experience
- OTDR testing knowledge and experience
- Experience working in secure, enterprise, or mission-critical environments
- ECS/CSCS card holder
