Are you an organised, proactive Project Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment? We're looking for someone who can keep multiple cabling infrastructure projects running smoothly, support our Project Managers, and help drive consistent, high-quality delivery across our portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in construction, telecoms, cabling, utilities, or infrastructure who wants to play a central role in project governance, coordination, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Monitor the progress of ongoing cabling projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timelines.
- Support to PMs and Site Leads: Act as a key point of coordination, offering day-to-day support with scheduling, document control, issue resolution, and task tracking.
- Governance & Standards: Develop and maintain consistent PMO practices, templates, and documentation standards to ensure projects are delivered with consistency and compliance.
- Resource Coordination: Assist in the planning and deployment of labour, tools, and subcontractors in collaboration with Project Managers and Site Leads.
- Risk & Issue Management: Track risks and issues raised by site teams and support resolution through escalation or mitigation planning.
- Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and distribute project reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Communication Hub: Facilitate communication between on-site teams, project management, and senior leadership to ensure clarity and timely decision-making.
- Tool Administration: Manage and optimise the use of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet) and ensure teams are trained in their use.
- Budget Support: Track expenditure, assist with budget forecasts, and help PMs monitor financial performance across projects.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline project execution and reporting processes.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PRINCE2, Agile).
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
- Skilled in reporting, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Excellent time management and strong written communication skills.
- High IT literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Minimum 2 years in PMO or project coordination role.
- Experience in construction, cabling, telecoms, utilities, or infrastructure.
- Track record supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
- Desirable: Experience implementing or improving PMO systems/processes.
- CSCS or industry-related site certification.
- Security Clearance / DBS check.
- Project management certification (PRINCE2, Agile).
