Infrastructure Engineer, Bristol
Join our front-line installation team to work on both Business As Usual (BAU) and project-based tasks, delivering communication infrastructure solutions at customer sites. This role includes hands-on work such as cabling, network switch
installation, and patching. Onsite training and a clear career development path will be provided based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network cabinet installations
- Installation of primary and secondary containment systems
- Installation of fibre and Cat6/Cat6A horizontal cabling solutions
- Termination, testing, and labeling of fibre/Cat6/Cat6A solutions
- Network switch installation
- Copper and fibre patching
Requirements
- Experience terminating copper/fibre cabling (Cat6/A)
- Experience of testing both fibre optic and copper cables using OTDR/ Fluke Testers
- Good knowledge of current installation practices
- Experience in the installation of containment systems (both Steel and PVC)
- Experience in running cables internally and externally
- Fibre splicing
- Focused and able to work within a team and independently.
- Good communication skills
Qualifications
- CNCI Certification or City & Guilds 3667 is a bonus
- PASMA Certification
- ECS / CSCS / EUSR Certification
- IPAF Certification
