The Role

Our client is looking for a Product Manager to lead the evolution of their internal tools and platform ecosystem. Initially focused on improving the workflows that support deployment and operation of AI applications, the role will progressively shape a broader platform for developing, deploying, and managing distributed AI systems in critical infrastructure environments. You will work closely with engineering, data science, and operational teams to define product direction, prioritise roadmap initiatives, and improve the usability, integration, and coherence of the internal tooling landscape. This is an opportunity to contribute foundational product work within a company operating at the intersection of AI, infrastructure, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the internal tools roadmap, prioritising improvements, integrations, and new capabilities aligned with delivery objectives and long-term platform strategy.
  • Drive agile product development processes, including backlog management, sprint planning, prioritisation, and definition of product requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead the development of a unified internal portal that consolidates tools, workflows, and documentation into a coherent and discoverable experience.
  • Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and operations teams to understand workflows, identify inefficiencies, and translate operational needs into product improvements.
  • Define and prioritise integrations between tools and systems to improve workflow continuity and reduce manual processes.
  • Ensure consistency across the platform as new tools and capabilities are introduced, including design patterns, ownership, and user experience.
  • Contribute to longer-term platform strategy, including future opportunities for external or partner-facing productisation.

About You

Required

  • Experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner within agile software development teams, ideally working on technical platforms or internal tooling.
  • Strong understanding of user workflows and operational processes, with the ability to identify friction points and translate them into actionable product requirements.
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with engineers and technical stakeholders, with a practical understanding of technical constraints and trade-offs.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with an interest in building coherent, scalable product ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to AI/ML platforms, model deployment workflows, monitoring systems, or data pipelines.
  • Experience creating operational optimisations software products for the data centre space or physical infrastructure, industrial, or operational technology environments.
  • Exposure to data science and modelling.
  • Exposure to technical platforms for building and delivering product into critical infrastructure environments.
  • Experience evolving internal tooling into externally consumable or partner-facing platforms.
  • Familiarity with simulation, digital twins, or software supporting physical systems.
  • Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
