A key client of mine in the Manufacturing and Engineering sector is seeking a Technical Author to join its Technical Publications team. This role focuses on creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for bespoke products, which need to adhere to strict compliance standards.
This role would suit anyone with the following job titles - Technical Author, Engineering Documentation specialist, Documentation Engineer, Technical Editor or anyone with similar experience.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain manuals, product information and catalogues for company products
- Update documentation to reflect design changes and customer feedback
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and Simplified Technical English
- Produce illustrations using product CAD data for technical publications and catalogues
- Proofread and review technical publications
- Background in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment – creating technical manuals, compliance documents and other
- Strong technical writing, editing, and proofreading skills
