An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Power BI Developer to join a dynamic organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful insights and enjoys working across both technical and business-facing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Build and manage ETL processes, ensuring data accuracy and reliability
- Work with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Develop and optimise SQL queries and data models
- Integrate data from APIs and multiple data sources into BI solutions
- Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems, identifying and resolving issues efficiently
- Deliver end-user training and support adoption of BI tools
- Support change, incident, and release management processes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer
- Strong background in data warehouse design
- Expertise in SQL, DAX, Power Query, and SSIS
- Experience with ETL development and data integration (including APIs)
- Solid understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling
- Familiarity with BI technologies, particularly Microsoft Power BI
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (Change, Incident, Release Management)
- Awareness of security standards such as NIST and Cyber Essentials
