About the Role
Our client, a growing cybersecurity consultancy, is seeking a CHECK certified Penetration Tester to join their growing security team. This is an exciting opportunity to work fully remotely on high-profile engagements, delivering CHECK-compliant penetration tests for public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver CHECK-compliant penetration testing across internal and external networks, applications, and infrastructure
- Conduct scoping, planning, and execution of penetration tests
- Produce clear, accurate, and actionable reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Communicate findings and support remediation efforts
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats, exploits, and attack techniques
- Ensure all engagements adhere to ethical and quality standards
Essential Requirements
- Current CHECK Team Member (CTM) certification
- Commercial penetration testing experience
- Strong understanding of networking and protocols (TCP/IP, common services), web application security (OWASP Top 10), and Linux and Windows environments
- Experience with common testing tools (Burp Suite, Nmap, Nessus, Metasploit)
- Excellent written communication and reporting skills
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable Skills
- Additional certifications (e.g., OSCP, OSWE, CREST CRT/CCT, CPSA)
- Cloud security testing experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Red teaming or adversary simulation experience
- Scripting or programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
