Buyer – Product & Commercial- Melksham (onsite)- Permanent- £55-70k depending on experience
Are you an experienced Buyer looking for a role where you can have genuine influence over product ranges, suppliers and commercial performance?
We're working with a successful and growing product-led business that is looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join its commercial team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, spotting commercial opportunities and having a direct impact on sales, margin, product range and supplier performance.
Essential skills required-
- Experience as a Buyer, Senior Buyer or similar commercial product role
- Previous buying experience within a relevant product-led sector.
- A strong commercial understanding of sales, margin, pricing, stock and supplier performance.
- Proven experience negotiating with and managing suppliers.
- Experience sourcing and developing products and product ranges.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with commercial data.
- Excellent Excel skills and strong numerical ability.
- The ability to balance commercial opportunity with customer requirements, quality and risk.
- Confidence to challenge, influence and make commercially sound recommendations.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach and a genuine desire to improve processes and performance.
