We are looking for an experienced React Team Lead to join a growing engineering function and take ownership of front-end delivery for modern, React-based portal applications. This is a genuine player–coach role: you will be writing code, shaping technical direction, and leading a small team of engineers in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Staying hands-on, building and delivering React applications, features, and solutions
- Leading a front-end / full-stack team working on React-based platforms
- Running sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews
- Mentoring junior developers and setting clear technical expectations
- Collaborating closely with Product Owners and QA to turn requirements into reliable, user-friendly features
- Driving good Agile practice, including Jira, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation
- Contributing to architecture decisions and longer-term technical direction
- Supporting partner and third-party developers where required
- Strong commercial experience building web applications with React
- Exposure to Angular is a bonus
- Confident using Git-based source control (GitHub / GitLab), Jira, and Confluence
- Solid experience with code reviews and maintaining high engineering standards
- Comfortable working in cloud-first environments (AWS ideal)
- Proven experience working with APIs and data-driven UIs
- A natural mentor who enjoys leading and developing others
- Strong communicator with a proactive, team-first mindset
- Passionate about clean code, great UX, and delivering quality
