Production Planning Manager in Guildford

Job Description

A key client of ours is seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager to lead a small production planning team and ensure smooth, efficient manufacturing operations.

This would suit a candidate who has at least 5 years\’ experience in a managerial role leading a team of Production or Material Planners.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand.
• Manage and coach a team of planners, prioritising workload and resolving issues.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, engineering, and sales to maintain flow and efficiency.
• Optimise inventory, lead times, and planning parameters through data analysis.
• Support process improvements and new product introductions.

Key Attributes

• Proven experience in production planning as well as MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• A background ideally working within either FMCG, household goods, components, electronics or similar
• Confident communicator with a collaborative approach.
