An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Engineer to join a fast-growing, venture-backed technology business operating at the forefront of AI, robotics, and intelligent automation.
Joining at a key stage of the company's growth, you'll play a central role in designing and developing scalable data infrastructure, building robust data pipelines, and helping shape the future of the organisation's data platform. What you'll be doing:
- Designing and building modern, scalable data platforms
- Developing reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
- Working closely with software, AI and engineering teams
- Improving data quality, accessibility and governance
- Applying AI-powered tools and automation to enhance engineering workflows
- Helping define best practices and the long-term data strategy
What we're looking for:
- Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer
- Excellent SQL and Python skills
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms
- Strong understanding of data modelling and data architecture
- Experience building scalable, production-grade data pipelines
- Demonstrated experience using AI tooling and automation (including LLMs and modern AI-assisted development tools) to improve engineering workflows and solve real business problems
- A proactive engineer who enjoys ownership and solving complex technical challenges
Desirable:
- Experience within AI, robotics, autonomous systems or other deep-tech environments
- Previous experience working in a start-up or high-growth scale-up
Location: Oxfordshire (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
