Overview: Our client, a leading consultancy firm, is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer for a 12-month contract engagement. This role will support a range of security initiatives across cloud, infrastructure, and endpoint environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and Entra ID.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud security controls, particularly within Microsoft Azure and Entra ID environments
  • Operate and enhance core security platforms including:
  • Absolute (endpoint visibility & control)
  • Rapid7 (vulnerability management)
  • CrowdStrike (EDR/XDR)
  • Sumo Logic (SIEM/log analytics)
  • Maintain and improve network security, leveraging technologies such as:
    • Palo Alto firewalls
    • CASB solutions
    • Secure Web Gateway technologies
  • Align security operations with frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework
  • Provide security support during data center migrations and other infrastructure changes, including:
    • SD-WAN implementations
    • Windows 11 hardening
    • Cloud iManage environments
  • Deliver advisory input across IT projects, contributing to broader IT simplification initiatives
  • Support BAU operations as needed, working alongside other engineers in day-to-day security functions
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
